31-year-old charged following disturbance call near Bruce Mines

Police have arrested St. Thomas resident Kayla Thynne after officers responded to a disturbance on Duff Road near Bruce Mines on Friday shortly after 12:30 p.m.

A news release issued today by the East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) alleges that the 31-year-old accused had physically assaulted the homeowner.

Thynne is scheduled to appear in court in Elliot Lake on Nov. 4 and stands charged with assault, contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code.
